Mukesh Khanna reveals Ranveer Singh confiding in him of being duped to do nude photoshoot, says, “He was contractually bound”

Actor-YouTuber Mukesh Khanna never shies away from calling a spade a spade. Ever since the news of Shaktimaan being made into a film surfaced, the actor has been vocal about it. As per reports, Ranveer Singh is shortlisted to play the role of Shaktimaan and this has not gone down well with Mukesh Khanna. One of the reason for it is Singh’s nude photoshoot that went viral. Mukesh claimed that Ranveer told him he was duped into doing it, but later said publicly that he wasn’t ashamed of it.

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Khanna said, “He tried to tell me that he didn’t know what was happening because he was shuttling between shoots, and that he was duped and betrayed. I felt sympathy for him, but some time later, he went and told the press that he wasn’t ashamed of the shoot. Now that you’ve brought this topic up, let’s address it properly. He said that he was comfortable with it, and I reacted in a video, saying that he might be comfortable, but we aren’t.”

Khanna wondered why Ranveer didn’t take legal action if he was duped. “I would’ve. He told me that he was contractually bound to not have any say about the photos. I wasn’t convinced, because only months ago, he said that he was comfortable with it. And then he claimed to have been betrayed. Even his wife supported him,” he said.

About Ranveer’s nude photoshoot

Singh had done a nude photoshoot in 2022 paying a homage to Burt Reynolds’ iconic 1972 shoot for Cosmopolitan magazine. Soon after images went viral, a section slammed the actor and even a complaint was lodged. However, he claimed how he was comfortable and didn’t hesitate doing it. 

On the work front, the actor will next be seen in Don 3 with Kiara Advani as leading lady. The film will be helmed by Farhan Akhtar.
